Kimono
Kimono is part of my Found Series and is inspired by travels to Japan. In this series, I let nature dictate the vessel designs. Each one is inspired by bits of wood collected on one of many desert hikes. Their dry, raw, craggy expressiveness sets the tone for the vessel atop which they are perched. Raku fired.
Mixed media. Clay with clear white crackle glaze and raw black clay, wood.
